    Superb

We enjoy the friendly homely atmosphere. It is almost like being a guest in someone's house.

I cannot thank the hotel and staff anymore for their efforts in ensuring my stay at The Gallery was extremely welcoming and helpful. I am disabled, and they provided me with the hotel wheelchair to use to visit the museums which are close by. Apart from the few steps to enter the building, everything was effortless. All the staff were busy but always made time for any requests I had. The room which probably could do with a refurb sometime, was very clean and had a balcony and chairs which was an added bonus. Breakfast in the room is also a bonus if you struggle to get up in the morning, and being available until 10.30 is again another bonus. We don't all get up at the crack of dawn for food! Museums all very close by. The actual street is relatively quiet and very pleasant. We booked a Queen Double and had plenty of room, and nice bathroom.

The quality of the food could be better. The prices are very reasonable for London, but I would prefer to pay more for a better quality meal. TV in this room was an old analogue. Digital would be nice.

    Fabulous

Excellent location, just across the road from The Natural History Museum and V and A musuem. Just a three minute walk to Knightsbridge and an array of shops including Harrods. Also located close to the tube. Extremely comfortable room with a balcony.

The bar is very small. The lift is also old and small.

    Superb

If you want a modern "chrome and glass" hotel, this is not for you. If you want goold old fashioned cosy comfort and courtesy, it is. And there's an elevator! Polite and genuinely friendly and helpful staff - and the whole hotel was delightfully warm when it was very cold outside. When getting a special deal, the value for money was exceptional. I have already booked a return visit there.

Just a little suprised not to have a trouser press in the room (assuming that it wasn't that I just couldn't find it) and the kettle/coffee/tea etc. could be displayed a little more obviously: it took a bit of a hunt to find it. But no significant complaints.

    Good

    Location, friendly staff, comfortable room

Bar sevice was amateurish and selection limited (no diet drinks)

    Very good

The room was comfortable, the bathroom clean and the cleaning of the room was of a good standard.

I objected to having to leave a cash deposit in case I ordered something whilst staying at the hotel - I immediately felt that I was not to be trusted. I also felt it not too helpful that the reception staff did not speak particularly good English. Being in a room facing the street, it was quite noisy late into the night - most probably because it was a weekend.

    Superb

Location was good - near tube and museums. Price is good for London Room wasn't massive, but it did specify it was a double room best for 1 person so can't really complain Overall, clean & easy - it's a nice hotel

It's not a massively special hotel, but fit for purpose, so would recommend it for your visit to London

The location was excellent. So close to the underground and shopping areas. Choices of restaurants and cafes were fantastic. The area was surrounded by beautiful streets and fabulous sites. The room was a bit small but it is Europe and this is to be expected. If I were to return to London I would come back to this hotel. Thank you staff, your service was great.

I would of liked to have had toast at breakfast. Perhaps more selection of cheese as only one was offered. Iced tea offered in lobby had no taste. I would assume it was mixed incorrectly.

    Very good

the lounge and drinks area was particularly pleasant and relaxing. The staff I met were efficient and polite.

The ensuite was a little tired and my bedroom not overly spacious.

Poor service and unprofessional staff. Check in took too long. Room decor tired, and heating did not work.

    Fabulous

The food wasn't value for money!! Everything was frozen! I've tried both chicken and fish with chips! Poor quality of food.

I had stayed there previously, and found it to once again be a wonderful place. It's extremely well-located with great transportation options. It's comfortable, quiet and the staff was very helpful.

    The location is perfect.

The décor is a bit dated, but for £75 a night I can't complain

    Very good

Very good location, close to South Kensington tube station. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean rooms. The breakfast was reasonably good with good service.

Elevator not in use - one elderly guest was on the fourth floor and I met her having a breather on the second floor and then on the third floor. A bit of a problem with the toilet not flushing but had fun exploring the flushing mechanics of the cistern with one of the helpful staff.
